If you have had trouble finding the right doula, would like to keep members of your birth team to a minimum, and/or this is not your first birth and may not desire as much physical support, this may be a helpful option!
Labor support from a licensed midwife includes:
24/7 on call support from 37 weeks until birth.
Advice on helpful ways to prime body for labor and birth.
Suggestions around navigating going past your due date, cervical checks and labor induction.
Recommendations of laboring positions based on contraction pattern and stage of labor.
Assist when to get to the hospital at appropriate time.
Informational and emotional support for both the birthing mom and partner.
